Merlin RO users
« on: February 15, 2010, 07:24:40 pm »
Do any Merlin RO users use a pump with their system. Or are they acceptable without.

My water pressure is only around 25psi and use a 80psi Ro-Man pump at the moment to boost my 300gpd RO. Which is fine but looking to produce more water and not looking to go to a 4040 yet.

Not sure if this pump is adequate for a merlin, anyone have some info

Thanks
Wayne

merlins require a minimum of 40psi, but work @ their best between 60-80psi. as the merlin uses 1/2" pipework, the flow through the unit is a lot. if you want a booster pump, it needs to be able to supply at least 7.6 lpm @ 60psi through 1/2" hose. your current booster pump will be useless for this task.
