Fed up with the cold
« on: February 09, 2010, 08:05:03 am »
After four hours yesterday I came home and stood in a hot shower for nearly half an hour to get warm again. Doesn't seem to matter how many thermal tops I'm layered up with I'm still bloomin cold.
Problem is by compacting my round I don't get the chance to warm up between jobs in the van any more. Really want to be warm again. Ordered some new shorts yesterday too.  :-\

Was just sayin to my mrs this morning, about how fed up I am of layering up, gettin wet and cold!

Would I change it to go back to football? No way, love it!

We are almost through it though, few more weeks and we are done! I am really glad I have worked through it all, and almost out the other side!

Roll on spring!

Best thing is to wear lots of thin layers instead of a few thick ones.
A hat is important too.
It's 2 degrees here today, and windy.

I don't mind the cold, been doing this for 7 years, but the strong wind is a problem. Due to do a block of flats by the sea today. Don't think I can!  ::)

Better day today, double thermals and didn't get the freezing fingers. Even had a bit of sunshine! Nice to see the daffodils and snowdrops poking through.

I just wore a thin t-shirt!

I'm a Geordie!  ;D

My Ex is a geordie, I got fed up with her going to her Mams (its bloody Mum) smoking tabs (Cigerettes for goodness sake) while I looked after the Burns (there kids now talk proper) lol

It'll pass ftp!  February is always a depressing month; its like Winter feels like it lasts for ever.  So chin up and next month it'll start raining and that normally lasts up till October when Winter kicks in again.

Oh Tosh, your're such a comfort!  :(

Yes but Matt that's alright indoors but it's when you work outside that you feel the cold.  ;)

Saw someone canvassing your areas yesterday. Nice flyers too.
