The RV360 has been out in the UK for about 2 years now. In the US about 4 maybe 5 years.
Early ones had a problem in the UK, the latest model is revamped and hopefully should be OK.

A few c/cleaners have them and love them, one or two sent theirs back, but these might have been the problomatic early ones.

If you just starting in c/cleaning then I would spend the money on other things - you can do a very good job with a wand, and £2000 to replace a wand is a lot of money when it could be invested elsewhere in the business ie marketing or a better machine.

Have you been on you tube and searched for Rotovac 360 - one or two good viedo clips.

I have had a go for about 10 minutes of the 360 (not the new model 360i which seems much better).
I suppose its like handling a rotary. I needed more time to get used to it as there is a variable speed, need to get to know what speed for what type of carpet. Water pressure can be kept low but with the number of jets the usage would probably be high.

I use a roto vac with my bane cleane truck mount and love it have a wand to but roto vac is an impresive bit of kit and my customers think its awsome.

I have just had the new model 360i for a week.
Didnt manage to testit on a real bad one but can imagine it would do a real good clean, subject to the correct cleaning fluid and proceedure.
Drying was excellant, really suprised me cos I though my wanding was pretty good and leaving carpets well on the way to dry but the 360i was better.
Good bit of stuff.

Hi Darren..

Did you have to uprate the pump with your Bane Clene? I am seriously tempted in getting a Rotovac for the commercial work but unsure that the 160Psi would be enough...

On a real dirty carpet I think it would be quicker , Shaun.
On its fasted spin it is 250rpm but there are 3 sprays and 3 suctions per revolution so you getting 750 passes per minute - I pretty sure I couldnt mange that with a wand  :)
On normal domestic, not too sure if it would be any quicker, but I found it to be dryer.

Also had the pressure down to about 200psi, dont know how it would be performing with 160 (for the andi the bane guy)

When I tried one out at the ccdo last year I thought that the carpet head didn't clean brilliantly but when I tried the carpet brush well that was a different story.

I has the same experiance I was in Las Vegas at a cleaning show, the president of Roto Vac was there demoing the unit, it didnt get the carpet clean at all.
