Your opinions please

Hi all,

I've picked up a row of appartment blocks that have 4th floor windows on them.

The current poles i'm using only go to 30' so I need to invest in a new 45' pole.

I've found a supplier on ebay and would like some opinions on the product please.

'Streamline' brand, silver anodised aluminium pole. 8 x 6' sections. Buy it now price of £351.33.

This seems very cheap in compaison to the Fibreglass, Carbon and Hybred poles on the market.

Does anyone else on here have similar poles in their armoury and how do they rate them because i'm only going to be using it once every 3 months to begin with so no point in splashing out over £800 quid for a carbon fibre one if i don't have to.

Thanks in advance,
Lance

If my experience with ali poles is anything to go by, the main drawback would be the weight.  It wasn't that brand of ali pole though.  If there are no awkward angles and you're feeling strong then at least the pole should last ages.

Isnt Streamline basically a rebranded X-TEL?

In other words it'll flop about like a sleepers drawers.

Once in three months? Ask matt about a modular fishing pole.
It's a game of three halves!

The ebay number is 230430248615

Vertical use only and yes it's only going to be used once every 3 months at present because I don't have any other 4th floor jobs to use it on. This is the main reason I want to find the cheapest 45' pole possible.

If you could have a look at the ebay listing and give me your opinions i'd really appreciate it. Either that or some suggestions as to what other 45'ers are on the market for a reasonable price.

Cheers,
Lance

Could anybody recommend me buying one of these Ali poles through personal experience or should I just bite the bullet and buy a Carbon pole.

Cheers,
Lance
