They have just called me back this afternoon. Said they can now do it for £800......still way over the top. Gonna have a chat with a mate of mine who does cars up. I'm sure he will do the same job as Purefreedom and all for a few mucky beers.

I think it shows a few on here do not know the work that goes into making a tank frame up, the fitting is easy part normally.

Design a frame then buy the metal get fabricator to make it up, hope it fits the tank, have it powder coated then get the bolts and fit it.

Let us all know the cost.

I know if I had to do it again I would be using a company as it is a ball ache both times, I have had 2 tank frames made up, one for flat 650L tank, the other for 2x 250 upright tanks, also have a purefreedom system fitted
If your not willing to learn, No one can help you, If you are determined to learn, No one can stop you ;)

Try www.plasticwatertanks.co.uk

They will build and fit a custom made tank of a higher quality for less than Pure Freedom

No, sorry to hear that.

Water Fed Pole System in Grantham who I used for my van fit 4 years ago have just stopped trading. They fitted a 10mm polypropeline tank and system for reaonable price (to me). Tuckerpole and Facelift would have been about 2k more for the same thing.

Seems there are some good companies disappearing.

Matt

Just spoken to Plastic Water Tanks Direct and they are very much STILL IN BUSINESS.

Guy was telling me about a custom tank he has just made to incorporate and hold a gas bottle for a hot system.

To ammend earlier comment, they do not actually fit the tanks though.

Are they just not having a website then? I need to speak to a tank manufacturer soon.

I think you are missing the point. The tank is £200, but they charge £800 for the fitting. That's a ripoff.

Atleast that's how I read it.
