« on: January 28, 2010, 06:08:26 pm »
Droped my heat n run today. :( :'( the brass elbow on the water outlet has snaped the bit that plugs in to the female on the machine. Has anyone ever managed to fix one as prochem have said it is a common problem they snap there and ive had it. Any advice to fix this cheers

Hi Steve,

If you could upload a pic of the problem then I am sure some of us may be able to help you.

If it what I think it is then you will be able to remove the broken bit with a stud extractor and fit a new elbow.

Tony.

Mine went there too,not sure it`s fixable ? My connector was dripping,so i gave it a little twist, made it 100x worse, the connector is connected to a little copper pipe, this goes through the plastic jacket, through the silicone, then into the copper tank where the element is.
Mine had been leaking inside the jacket, and eventually tripped the power off ,as it had worked it`s way up to the lec bit`s at the top.
Could try to solder it i suppose, getting into the dam thing though, was told to chuck mine out,got another from Woodbridge, about £100 cheaper than Prochem
