i would go for an expert/scudo/despatch.

3 seats and enough room for a 400 lt tank in the back with plenty of room to spare!

should be able to get one for 2grand.

What are they like on diesel, ive heard the transits are 15 mpg  :o daz when i said cheap i meant cheaper than 2k :) i know you get what you pay for BUT i dont have that kinda dough on me just yet plus the fact i got my van serviced the other day paid a whack for parts and labour only to hit the damp sump more than it was already and now my crankshafts banging of it so back to the garage again in morning for a new sump to be fitter, hope that sorts the problem!!  If it does i will put off search for van in next couple months to make it within next 6 months :)

yeah im getting a bit with one hand but losing a bit in the other, cant seem to get new and keep old, had 50 quid less this month due to customers being out of cash after xmas but that will be back to normal in feb i hope, yeah if van aint going right i cant canvass and say when ill be out, all this months done anyway that i had to do, just van fixed in morning(hoping that sorts it) then ill be out knocking for the next couple days during the day anywhere and everywhere, im even considering knocking my usual prices down to get the work but ONLY if i have to!! Its hard this time of year BUT the news is optimistic though, recessions over :)

JRD...I reduced my prices from early on,i read on here of £1 per window and £10 min charge etc,I got odd ones at that, personally i think they are over priced and am considering lowering their price to retain them  :o I do not think its very easy to get many at those prices,I  go for around 75p a window now, more for bay windows, patio doors etc,add it all up and then come up with a figure I am happy with, seems to work quite well here(Derby) but still get "thats too dear" off some, but i do not want to be working for a pitance,I try to keep my min charge at £7,but even then  I got a couple of flats with 3 windows and 1 tiny toilet windows at £5 and some small starter homes with 5-6 windows in for £6,I certainly would not pay £10 for my windows to get cleaned, and i certainly know they won't and right to,I think a bit of common sense comes in to it,I would love a round of £1 per window,£10 min charge houses,But its not going to happen, maybe after years and I can sort the wheat from the chaff, but as a newbie we have to be sensible,we got bills to pay!!!

I agree - and I know a couple of husband/wife teams who runs one with a 650L too - they say they only fill to 550L when two-up mind as it's rated at 900kg. They reckon about 34mpg for the 1.9 diesel. More on a run.

I went to the auctions in summer with a mate who was starting out and he got an 06 with 42K miles for £4000. A nice one in silver. An 05 with 80K went at £2800.
It's a game of three halves!

Expert/scudo/dispatch - look on ebay & autotrader there's plenty about with upto 200k on the clock!!!!! so they must be good engines.

They've been going for years with only minor changes/revamps so there's plenty of cheap pattern parts available for them too.

Don't go too much by what people quote on here regarding minimum prices etc. Just charge what you see suitable per job, just don't work for peanuts either. The money & work will come with time & effort, it just sometimes can't be forced to happen. ;)

All the best.
