Gets yer gander up, don't it.
Glad nothing went, maybe you'll be able to see ways if deterring them in future like maybe an alarm in the van
I use a quad for wfp & that went walkies just after tea, fortnight ago.
Got it back as Tracker led the police to the gypsy site.
And when you have to pay £170 to release it from recovery, makes you more dteemined to foil them
your wifes ears worth their weight! Buy her some gold earrings. ( in return for a promise she won't put the CCTV on YouTube!)

would love to rig it up to the live mains, would be really funny to see them get the shock of their life when they tried to open a door.

it happened to me just before last Easter,      while I was working at the back of a house the owner came out to me and said there was 2 men at my van,   when I came through her house I could see one bloke keeping lookout and the other had my passinger door open.

I seen the red mist and ran out and gave the pair of them the medicine but un be known to me a few people had seen them hanging around and had allready called the police which resulted in me almost getting nicked and having to report to the police station a week later to be told they wern't gonna charge me.

and I will say again now what I said to the police,   if it happened again tomorrow I would do exactly the same thing.

these people are absolute scumbags who have no intention of trying to find work and have the law on THEIR side even though they were trying to steal my livelyhood.

what you need is to exchange the little dog for one with stopping power. ive got a 7stone doberman who i took to 1-1 protection training classes for 2 years, after i was attacked by a heroin addict with a knife one night while going into my house. in your situation i could have instructed him to chase and corner or chase and take down, i would love to have seen them out run him! not gonna happen!
The best way to predict the future is to create it.

Moral is not to leave anything in the van.
I'd rather they didn't go in my van, but there's nothing to nick in there if they did.

At least it was only your lack of speed they taunted you about, considering you were naked.
It's a pity you didn't catch him when he was inside the van, you could have got in the back with him and scared the brown stuff out of him.
They are scum.
Someone tried to nick the fuel tank off my boat last summer, on finding it chained and padlocked, they snapped off the handle for the engine controls just for spite.
It's a sad state of affairs, but "a why buy it if you can nick it" attitude now prevails amongst a large sector of society.

Why not invest in a good alarm, you can even get some that give a warning if anyone get close to your van,or even sound a alarm in the house but not outside so you can catch the b*******

Yust a TIP: get hold of a door bell and connect to your security light and mount tit in yur room. Then set you light oner the van and diconect the light and put it on a seperate switch. So that you can have the bell on light or both work any which way you like.If you have just the bell it give you time to catch the scum without worning. Better Luck next time .

Lets hope the cctv caught something other than you, otherwise the police might have a laugh reviewing the evidence.  It's annoying though as you'll find yourself waking to every little noise now.  Hope they catch the blighters.

i would av got in the van, chased them in that! and accidents happen when doors fly open at speed! These scum need hospitalising so they think twice about doing it again.

Ive chased a thief before in a car and caught him out coming down the road while he was looking behind him! was class to see the look on his face. needless to say put the frightners on him, didn't clout him though as didn't want to be arrested for GBH!!!

Re sort your security though as they will more than likely come back, as thats the sort of cheek and arrogance you are dealing with. I once sat up all night once waiting for some thieves to come back, i had set a nice little honey trap up to catch them! shame they didn't turn up that night, the bat was all warmed up waiting for them!!!

Police are a waste of space, they are re-active not pro-active!

I had the same thing happen a couple of years ago when Travelers tried to pinch my trailer, they cut an abloy lock off the hitch but it wasn't until they moved it that the alarm went off on if, by the time I was up at my window they were Jumping into their pick-up and scampering away quickly.

Not many people expect an alarm on a trailer but I took every precaution to protect my investment.
