my contract at my current property is nearly up and i am looking to move in to a house that has a water meter. im a one man operation using 1000L a day 5 days a week at the very most including the waste water. it will proably be a 3bed semi with me and one other living in it. how much will my bills be roughly?

dont do it mate, you will spending loads on water, my mate has a metre and he says his bills rose when he moved from the standard bill. (hes not a wfp'er)

seriously try and move into a different house, times are hard without having that on top of you

i live in cornwall,  if you can avoid a water meter, do so at all costs for the amount of water you use   it will cost you a fortune

i just got my water bill for 26/9 - 21/12 i use 18 cubic meters of water and it cost me £91, i hardle use any water from my house say 500litres a week if lucky, as no some one with out a meter

Here in East Anglia it is £2.69 per cubic metre.(dont forget the waste)

i had the water board out to my house because they was going to put 2 metres on and have one for my house and one for my bussines  but they said no and said thats how much it is so when i made 1000ltr and 2000 on for waste so its around 7.50

On top of your standing charge and household useage you are probably looking at around £4.50 per day including the waste charge (£90.00 every 4 weeks)

By the sounds of it your looking to rent! Before you commit I would add the £90 to your rental budget and see if you might be able to get a better house without a water meter

i produce 2050 litres of pure water a week on average and my bill is £70 a month

I looked into this too and worked it out, and seems to be on par with my calculations.

I am charged £1.95 per cubic meter (1000tls)  works out for me at 10p a house inc waste

It doesn't when your making your water the ratio is roughly 60 good 40 waste . 40% that's the water you put down the drain. So the water meter reads that you have used that's say for instance 1000Lt's, you charge is for the whole amount which is worked out at 92.5% waste to7.5% used IE drinking or watering the garden the rest goes own the drain, IE Toilet washing up bath shower.So your 60% of water that is in your tank has not gone down the drain, it go's back to the water table when you clean as if you were watering the garden. Water companies are more interested in what they have to treat before the water go back in the main system. If you buy a system that recovers water your bill will be cheaper. Ionics PRO6 AND PRO7 the pro 7 recovers all waste water.

I've just moved into  a house with a water meter. I phoned the water board and  explained what I was doing but the moron on the other end just didn't have a clue what I was talking about. They will charge me the full rate for all water used then I have to ask for a form and try to claim a discount every time the bill comes in.
I have set my system up with a meter so that I know exactly how much I've used for my business. How much goes down the drain will be harder to know.

thats the way i was going to go with a metre but the would not have it it would have to be one of theres lol all they asked me it roughley how much i was using and then they would take that off the bill and then add vat and the vat would go up each year
