Yellow pole hose
« on: January 15, 2010, 06:12:16 pm »
Spotted this on Gardiners site  :o  http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Safety.html
Anyone heard of this case? Not much chance of anyone seeing my black hose.

I wonder if it's been crush tested.  :)

Seriously though, yellow pole hose is helpful.  The trip risk is a lot lower with pole hose than with the hose from the reel but it's certainly worth investigating.  I would like a link to the case mentioned on the Gardiner site if there's anything about it on the web.

black is better in the snow  ;)

i used my clear stuff on tuesday, as the wheel broke and fell off my cart, i used it as a van mount, moving the van every 3rd house was a pain, i packed up and went home

I would like red pole hose as I use black at the mo and due to using a tap when I put the tap on the floor I can easily find it when I need to turn it off, I think using yellow youd have to follow the hose to find the tap as the same colour as reel hose.

It must have been a recent decision, I ordered 2 poles in October both with black pole hose.  One came through in black and the next day, the slx 18 I ordered came through 7 weeks later early December with yellow pole hose and when I phoned up the reason given was the accident.  The yellow is ok maybe a little bulky compared to the black stuff but the benefits outweigh the bulkiness.

I don't know what or who the case is though.

Simon.

I've been using this stuff for about a year. Its cheap, tough, flexible & no more bulky than the standard clear hose:

How much pole hose do you leave trailing? - I only have 10 metres and I coil that up on a belt hook anyway.
It's a game of three halves!

I need new hose as the black hose on my slx has a really annoying kink in it that makes the water flow really slow, so may try some of this stuff.

The streamline lite 5 yellow pole hose is the best ive used,I cant understand a company like gardiners supply the black hose which came with my SLX,a superior pole with a crap auto kink hose! Interestingly while up in grimsby lately pure freedom now sell the streamline lite 5 pole hose fitted with their poles.
