4 jetted brush problem.
« on: January 15, 2010, 04:29:51 pm »
Hi,I have a 4 jet brush which has done fine until recently.Up till now all 4 jets have spurted out in equal measure, but recently only 2 jets work. Please note there are no blockages!!! I have swapped the jets and piping to check!!!I have 2 set ups and the result is the same on either.I have turned the controllers up to highest flow and pressure settings, again to no avail. The pumps are fairly new and pump water very well on other 2 jet brushes.(so much so that i only need to set the rate at less than half.Any ideas folks???

I am a minimalist in water use and found using bypases that 4 jets need a certain pressure to operate, eg if you tilt the brush to the left or right,  that the higher jets fail to deliver water if there is not enough flow or pressure or volume, maybe because the jet size doesnt balance with the water flow. Sounds basic I know, but it is !
Which two jets are not ejecting water ? and what sort of manifold are you using- got a pic anywhere online ?

Again, thanks for input. In the end i have solved the problem,i have replaced the 4 pencil jets with 2 old fan jets.(dont like them for normal use) Because i use a larger brush on my modular (hence the need for 4 jets). The splayed pattern of the water is fine so problem,if not exactly solved,at least overcome.
