« on: January 12, 2010, 07:54:05 pm »
Been snowing about an hour now, here in Monmouth South Wales. >:(

This is the worst spell I can recall in 26yrs.

Is it snowing anywhere else?

Not snowing here but the wind got very cold and I came home at 3 oclock frozen stiff.
Its the worst I have ever known it. We won't be forgetting it in a hurry.

I've just got back in the house; it wasn't too bad when I left, but the return journey was a pain.  It was first and second gear all the way; and I nearly pranged into the fence opposite Tescos at the traffic lights in Chepstow.

It looks like tomorrow's another day off.

Wahooooooooooo!

Same here.
Some woman decided to go really slow up the hill from Tescos lights, and I nearly didn't get up to my junction. Might have done better with a run at it! >:(
Then my street was a sideways, miss the cars hopefully affair.
I'm super confident with driving and have been out all through this snow, but tonight's something else on fresh snow.
I'm genuinely shaking. :o

We have had at least a foot and its been with us a week!

Tried getting out in it but its almost pointless.

Been clearing people drives till I can get around more.

Around here all w/c have struggled to get much work done since a week before Christmas.

Thank goodness this next batch of snow is not forecast to stay.
