Highest earnings this year!
« on: January 11, 2010, 03:03:22 pm »
Got out at last and managed half a days work. Just above freezing too. First customer complained 'cos i walked over her snow ??? Second one was reluctant to have me clean, third one was skint 'cos her cafe was dead. Rest were ok.
Side roads quite slushy but seemed more slippery than before.

Motivation has completely gone  :'(

We worked all day customers were very good and a lot said they would pay cash as they said we would not have to wait for the monney to clear.

But it was hard going working in 8 inch's of snow.

Know what you mean, I used to worry about what custies would think. Lost alot of turnover in my early days, thinking they would moan if I clean in rain or between showers etc etc. You're right, funny old game.

i went out, did some commercial  ( insides ) at around 10.30

then drove to my next domestics, got kit out of van, walked to house, slipped once on some ice, thought, that was lucky, i managed to stay on my feet, slipped again ( this is the side of the house that has no sun )

packed up and went home, not for me today thanks, if i fall over and break my leg / arm etc etc i am not going to earn for many weeks

Full day of work here, very little snow left on the ground, got lot of commercial from last week done and out the way then they spent the rest of the day working close to base on domestic.  Tomorrow will be all domestic close to home as even just a mile or two inland is still pretty bad

Joking aside, I once lived in a squat where they did that.  The property was being demolished soon after anyway.  Once the final ecviction date was settled, they started stripping the panelling off the wall and burnt it to keep warm.  On the very last night, they ripped the staircase down ands all slept downstairs.  The staircase was used as firewood too.  It was crazy.  I was only away three days and I returned and it looked like a disaster area.
