DFC 210 is a dedicated pre-spray in powder form.

DFC 105 is a Woolsafe Approved Carpet and Upholstery pre-spray, in-tank cleaner and a carpet rinse agent.

Although in liquid form, DFC 105 is, I believe, the same chemistry as DFC210 except the 105 has an extra ingredient to bring it into line with Woolsafe requirements. Chemspec claim both products to be from sustainable resources and biodegradeable.

I have only ever used Prochem's Citra Boost as a pre-spray additive. I've never used it in a rinse. IMO there would be no need as in the pre-spray it would dwell longer so have more time to do it's work.

I have a concern that d'limonene may not be free rinsing so I always take the precaution of using a rinse agent.

I have successfully used Citra Boost many times with microsplitters and DFC 105.

If i can use it, i go for Powerburst and rinse with Crystal Green, On wool at the moment i am using ultimate master or if its trashed powerburst and f an f rinse or alltec acid rinse its hard to say which is best i think using the strongest chemical that is safe.

Further to my first post. If you weren't confused before then you should be by now. The two previous post's are a complete contradiction of each other; although I would favour Ken's method over "using the strongest chemical" as suggested by James.

Could I suggest that the best solution you can use on a carpet is 'Training' and plenty of it!!

The reason i said the "most powerful" was from my own experience! i recently had a wool berber and used a low ph on it and it became the first carpet i had to re clean it was a very poor result which i was not at all happy with, i re did it with powerburst and f and f rinse which was much better. so i would stick with what i said if its trashed it requires a bit more than a neutral ph to tackle it until i find an  alternative thats what i will use on this type of carpet also because i was unable to use the envirodri to agitate first due to the type of carpet ie loop berber so this affects the results as well making the chemicals used have to be that much more effective.

Probably not the best "term" to use i admit :
 but its an impossible question to answer its like asking whats the best car.
 just out of interest what would you have used on the trashed wool berber i had, after trying the the woolsafe prespray that failed miserably.

Depend's if we define "trashed" in the same way. Prior to xmas I had a HSL (Berber) that was very grubby, almost beyond redemption, like me. Used a traffic lane degreaser (ph 10) gave it load's of agitation and allowed it to dwell for about 15/20 min's (including the agitation time). Hot rinse with Ultimate Master. Surprised myself with the result, delighted the lady of the house and got a booking to do the rest of the house end of Jan. Can't wait!!! Same carpet throughout and all in the same condition.

thats interesting did not know you could use ultimate master in that way thought you had to prespray with it too.
 main problem i have with berbers more so if they are bad is not being able to properly agitate other that with my grooming brush dont use the envirodry dont dare i have also tried lower heat but find as hot as i can get it best also.

Ultimate Master is best used at 60 degree's but will still work at higher temps. Being a self neutralising product it is designed to leave the carpet in a ph neutral condition and reduces risk of colour run etc..

Nothing wrong with agitation with a grooming brush, just do a bit more of it.

Ultimate Master is a splendid product but I always used a pre-spray. I had trouble getting hold of it last year, delayed shippment or something so switched to powdered woolsafe so don't use it much now, still have a kilo left.
