I can't help with recommendations, but i did considerable research a couple of years ago. I decided not to go ahead mainly due to exclusions and the fact that the only ones which i thought worth having (pay out from day 1), were quite expensive for what they paid out.
Being single was the clincher though. Worth it if family relied on my income.

Oh yeah, i looked at loads on the net over 3 months but the best insurance options i received was from a financial advisor.
He was sorting out my mortgage anyway, so i didn't pay extra. But he found deals that bettered what i had found myself. And he also had knowledge on the companies that paid out quicker than others as well.

I got quoted €90 per month (Apparently window cleaners are considered high risk) for cover that wouldn't even really pay my bills if I did have an accident,... I think I'd be a lot better off putting that money in a high interest account instead.

forget it,

There will always be something in the small print to stop them paying out anyway.

They want your money, but dont like paying it back, rip off, save ya money.

i am with combined insurance i pay £33.00 premium and if i have an accident they will pay out £150.00 a week  from day one not great i know , but its better than nothing for instance in squeekys he has been snowed off work funds are running low £150 would be a great boost you only get about £50.00 from the state when on sick
