how you can work in -4 with a hot system?
Does the water not freeze on the glass? Doesn't the brush simply freeze solid? Doesn't the pole hose still freeze when dragged over the ground?

I reverted to trad on monday in the sunshine - as soon as I soaped the windows in the shade they froze solid as did my applicator. I don't see how it's possible to work at even lower temperatures. Maybe a coke can of isopropanol would solve everything  :D

That is so far the most sensible answer from you  on this forum  ;)

This was a question I asked before going over to WFP and the consensus was that if its a house the central heating probably helps to keep temps up to a sufficient level on the glass.

Working the other day had no problems with warm water just made sure the flow was on most of the time to stop it being in contact with the ground for too long.

I've been working in -4 with the hot system and it works fine, I just put plenty of salt down. I did try in -7 on some large shopfront windows and found that the water was freezing on the glass. It took a couple of minutes spraying each pane to warm it up before I could clean it properly. What stopped me the past few days is the bad road conditions,.. doesn't matter how hot your system is if you can't get to the job!
