A few days ago I threw a couple of buckets of water onto an area in my garden which holds the water and then when that froze I did it again(surface is brick block) today with the air temp at -3.6 I went over that area with table salt...lightly
I have to say I am so very suprised how quickly it melted the ice...am going to watch that area and see how quick it refreezes.
Could just hear it all cracking and popping.
Cheers
Dave.
