Lag them pipes, pumps and hoses!!
« on: January 06, 2010, 11:30:07 am »
Well after finding all the bits in my van froze solid :o!!  so yesterday i decided to do a bit of insulating!!
Foam tubes (thick stuff from Wicks) on the pipework from the tank to pump, then pump in a removable foam cover,
Then more foam tubes to and from the di vessel, then even more to the "y" section on the pipe to the hoses and last of all a couple of nice thick duvets on the hose reels.!

back of the van now looks like a space ship,

but it didnt freeze last night!!!  ;) ;)

only down side with covering everything is somtimes if it does freeze a little you stop it thawing out too - ive learnt the hard way , had it all covered, all seems fine till some ice crystals make its way to your pump and end up making a big block in your hose lock's on pump , Di  brush jets etc

back it up with some heating if you can to be 100%
