It is not unusual for one company to call different aspects of their approach by different names. It is the name that they associate with the activity. I use what I call a cleaning schedule and it is not what either of you are talking about. What Dave calls a "task list"and what I believe Jase is calling a cleaning schedule we call a "Performance Schedule". Our cleaning schedules tell cleaners what is done on a day by day basis, ie. Daily Tasks, Weekly Tasks, and Monthly Tasks that are to be completed on a particular day. I use a site map, combined with the performance schedule to develop a cleaning schedule that includes all daily, weekly and monthly tasks. The cleaner then has no recourse to say I did not know.
Jase if you send me an email I will attach our performance schedule for daily cleans. Keep in mind that there may be areas the client wants done that are not on the schedule, for example I have a client that has a coffee vending machine that the whole place uses and it gets quite dirty so I have added it into a daily cleaning. Our performance schedule is just an outline to get us started on each one. My email should be in my profile.
