Im looking for a new van especially now I have sold my l200.

The Mavano is rather cheap to purchase. I thik because its a high roof van so you are limited to where you can go.

I rather taken to the Vivaro. But I am looking at a P Boxer possibly tomorrow.

I have a renault trafic in white i am goin to sell when i have my new van had no probs with it. 4 new tyres 12 months mot and as soon as sign writting is off having the few scratches it has on the side prof repaired its an 02 done 123k ply-lined with steel blkhead also is the 100 bhp 6 speed model with tow bar (un-used) looking for £2600 no vat

I got the Movano with the TM I bought earlier last year. Great van. Good engine and very reliable. This has done about 105k and you would'nt know it to drive. This is on a W reg though so I don't know if the newer ones are as reliable. The only thing that lets it down is the visual condition but my mechanic tells me (and I trust him completely) that I'd be better off giving it a face lift (cost about £1500 to make look mint) than buy something newer that I know nothing about so thats what I shall be doing in Spring.

Cheers for the offer. I am looking at a van that has hopefully only about 50 - 60,000 on the clock. Hopefully that will also pay off if it has less mileage.

The renault and vauxhalls are the same bodywork, not sure about the engine. The renault are usually cheaper.

IMO the movano is prob the best of the bunch for value at that level - I run a Renault Master 33dci swb (same as interstar and movano) which has just gone over the 40k mark - its a great van for pulling power and thats with a back axle carrying c900kg (gvw inc the TM) - its a pleasure to drive and the gear box is good - a mate (!) managed to put petrol in it and we just kept topping up with diesel and its not missed a beat - in contrast we also run a Relay lwb and that has been a pain - the gear change linkages seized up and the brakes are pretty expensive to mainttain - caries more weight but even so its just not much joy to drive unlike the master - I will replace it with another master/movano/interstar when the time comes

I have a Vauxhall Movano and have driven it all over the country for the last 18 months,2/3rds converted into a camper. Cracking van- happily pulls my Ifor williams trailer, with pressure washers, drain jetter & generator (and on site a full 1000 litre water tank.

I cannot see anywhere in the handbook where the manufacturers thinking is that because it has a high roof it must be cheaper - because it can't go everywhere???!!!!! - waffle!!!

A cracking van - and that is knowledge from experience.

Had a 2.8 dti medium roof lwb Renault Master from new great van nice to be able to stand up inside. If you have a TM its got a good payload.

I looked at these when i bought my van but went with the boxer because they have flat side panels allowing for better signwritting!

Yep thats the most important thing to look for FLAT SIDE PANELS when buying a van.

A company i worked for some years ago had 4 Renault Master 2.8 LWB vans. The one i used was fitted out with a HM Maxx 450D hose reel carrying 500 feet of vac/solution hose, fresh water tank and all the other stuff needed.  Occasionally we pulled a twin axle Ifor trailer fitted with a Prochem Legend.  As you can imagine, 2 truckmounts, a trailer, all that hose  was pretty heavy however, the Renault Master pulled it all No Problem. Even up hills the van had plenty to give.  The only fault with the van was the brakes.  It used to go through alot of pads and discs.  Yes the van did alot of weekly mileage but ive never known a van go through so many pads.  It wasnt just my van either.  They all had same problem and the others didnt even carry half the weightof the one i ran.  They were all 2000/2001 models.

You certainly travel for your work M clean. thats nearly 3 hours drive from stoke on trent. I assume thats where you are based from your website.

I dont travel that far unless its because I need the work then thats a different story. Bills have to be paid.

Its a possibility I could pop over and travel down the notorious A249 to Sittingbourne. I will have to see if I am working near there.

Hopefull I will also have a van. Sold my pickup oon sunday using the Jaguar at the moment. Luckily equipment is on site.

Tony there was absolutely no need for that. In an industry where marketing is important and standing out from the crowd is very important with so much competition, I believe that the quality of the van and its livery is very important!

I was merely pointing out that there is more to choosing a van than meets the eye, if you just want basic livery then it doesn't matter but if you want something a little more fancy the yes the side panels should affect your decision!

Tony we have met and i know you are not an idiot so why pretend to be on here?

Goran,  I dont think Tonys reply made him act a idiot.   The way your post was worded made it appear that the only reason you choose your van is because it had flat panels. Now that would be a idiotic thing to do because there are a number of things you should considor when making the right decision.  Im sure that is not the only reason you decided on that van though.  Also Tony added smiley faces to his post which i believe he intended his post in good humour therefore i think your attack on Tony was a little uncalled for.
