drip drip drip

I posted last week about a few leaks i have with my pure freedom set up, i have sorted the ones that i said about either side of the pumps, the one i cant seem to sort now seems like its the shut off valve from the bottom of the tank. My two pipes that come from the pumps both drip out of the end, one has no end connecter on and the other has a ez snap connector. Is this the norm or do i need to replace the valve at the bottom of the tank?

Do you mean the elbow on the out of the tank, my elbow tap leaks on my tank, I just turn it off at the end of the day and its fine.

yes it has a shut of valve but this doesnt seem to do anything. sounds like it may need changing once my tank is empty then

Have you tried putting more PTFE tape on the thread?

no matt, what it is mate is that the water still seams to be getting through the valve, just not sure if its totally shut off at the point at where it comes out of the tank at first before the pumps, all of the leaks i had have been sorted by a silly amount of ptfe ;D. i thought having the connecter on the end of the pipe (this connects to the hose reel) would stop any water leaking out but it doesnt, i have a nice frozen water wall out the back of my van as i leave the pipes hanging down there to drip so its not all over my floor

When I got my system from Pure Freedom everything leaked,I think it's quite common on systems no matter where you buy from,it only takes 10-20 minutes to undo all connections and put PTFE tape on and put back,Pure Freedom done all my connections using this but in all honesty could have put more on,it's not a big problem and can be easily fixed.
As for the valve on the outlet tap I would leave well alone,open it obviously but leave it on open as these can be easily damaged if they are the little 1" red taps,just put loads of PTFE tape around the threads and leave the tap open on the valve unless of course you have the more heavy duty tap ;)
