bust in microbore

hi,looking for quick advice!!my supplier is closed until 4th january and i have a small hole appeared on my pole hose,anyone have a decent emergency idea???? thanks in advance

Try some self- amalgamating tape available from screwfix

Cut a small piece of hose split it and plasti-tie it over the hole...should hold for a while until you can fix it properly....I have done this with scuba gear and it works so should work with wfp hose.

You should be able to get some hose fixing tape in b&q.

cut a 3inch piece of ordinary 1/2 inch hose slide over microbore to cover hole then get 2 jubilee clips and tighten at each side of where hole is.

B&Q sell the following that may help...

1) a sealing tape
2) A straight plastic connector (like
the t-piece on your brush

cheers for all the ideas,i managed to find a `very` slightly bigger piece of hose and slid it over the problem,and then jubilee clipped it......it has held all day with no problems....once again cheers

You can usually get the pole hose itself in B and Q.  Maybe not the same one as you are using but you should be able to get something similar.

lol, why is it the simple things never get remembered  ::) I should know that I did a vid on making a pole from b&q lol, I blame it on being on holiday for to long

Do you mean pole hose, or reel hose? 

Pole hose will mend with just insulating tape as there's only low pressure inside (open ended through the jets).  I keep a reel of 1/4" clear hose to replace worn pole hose - cheaper by the reel and easy to replace - I don't use any hose clips because low pressure (as above). 

Reel hose needs hose clips as it will be at 100psi with the pole unplugged but as several have said, easy enough to effect a good temporary repair.
