Ok I've decided against trying to fit a di vessel to my trolley, so I was wondering what are the advantages of getting a bigger vessel, say a 25l v 11l.
Is it that the more resin you have in the vessel the longer it will last between changes or is it a bit more than just that ?

I will be using it with an outside tap to fill up barrels if this makes any differance.

the bigger it is the longer it will last, but what u got to remeber is all the extra weight u will be pushing around

there wont be any difference between the 11l and 25l vessels except the change of resin more often. if you were using the smaller 4or5l vessels then the usage would rise slightly unless you keep the flow from tap down a little. hope that makes sense

If you use 2 DI vessels in series, when the tds from one of them rises above 000, use this one as the first vessel and make sure the second vessel is making 000, when the tds from outlet of first vessel equals tap tds, change resin in this vessel and make this the second vessel.  This way you get all of the life out of your resin.

This is what I have been doing since I started, It has to be the most economical way if your DI only.
What's your tap TDS reading?
I made sure that I had enough 25 litre containers to last more than 2 days, then my misses fills yesterdays emptys while I am working. I just throw the empty ones out and replace with full ones when I get home. It used to be a right pain filling them when I got home, now I have full ones waiting for me.
