I was going to work today but it never got above -2 today. Tomorow looks like more of the same, but I've been and bought some screen wash and I'll be giving that a shot in the morning.

I worked today, did 2 commercials. Little hard initially as the water turned slushy in the pipe, eventually managed to sort it out. Was nippy out there at times but being that it was sunny first thing, the wok was commercial and the forecast for the rest of the week is carp I wasnt going to turn down this opportunity.

...

Thanks for the input chaps.
gold what parts of bristol do you cover.

 :) :) :)
iam out keynsham

I do the north west fringes - Stoke Bishop, Shirehampton, Avonmouth, Henbury inside the city boundary and in South Gloucestershire near The Mall, Almondsbury, Olveston and Aust. A bit of commercial on Royal Portbury Dock in North Somerset too.

Opposite side of the compass (if you drew one on a map of Bristol) to you really.
It's a game of three halves!

i use the 4.6 Litre Tanks.....the shower head comes off (and the rubber grommit) then unscrew the hozelock from the DI and push in....then i put the shower on.....i only recommend this in winter due to the high elec consumption (and high bills :'()

but if i did not do that today i would be 130 quid down ::)

Worked today..some scheduled work and some which was transferred from last week...all complete and 3 new customers (walkovers)....Felt good considering I have not worked for 2 weeks due to snow/ice and very cold air temps.

Cheers
Dave.

I paid a visit to it about a year or so ago, one of those 'down memory lane' visits, just the same as 30 years ago. Same garage door even I think.

What do you charge for that place, assuming no conservatory now £12.00?

Because I did very little in the run up to Xmas and because today is the "real" boxing day I thought I might go to work on Monday (which is an official bank holiday) on my domestics - what do you reckon and if so what time would you turn up?

why would you want to go and bother people over the Xmas holidays ????????

get a life and let people enjoy theirs

I choose to work on Monday.  You choose not to.  I can't see the problem really.  I wouldn't try to persuade you to work.  It just seems odd that you try to persuade people not to.

I aint trying to persude you not to work I'm giving you my opinion which I'm entitled to on here,   when I told thew/c where to go when he came between xmas and new year all the others told him the same.

customer choice me thinks

Sure the customer has a choice.  So does the W/C.  The W/c can choose whether or not to continue supplying a service to someone who tries to force him into an extra, unwanted week off.  The customer also has the choice whether they want to continue with the W/C.
I'm just surprised that you come out in favour of the customer on this one.  If I were to allow customers to make such decisions for me, I might as well revert to being an employee.

good for you

That isnt a great individual price is it, but I guess 10 of those places before moving the van works out at a good hourly rate, they cant take long. If that one on the side over the garage can be got from the ground then your not doing too bad.

Next time your there can you get my old football out of the gutters  ;D  ;D
