How to stop leaks
« on: December 21, 2009, 05:28:16 pm »
Started my system up for the first time today, got leaks after both pump on the elbows, took them off and put some fresh ptfe tape on and retightened them, still leaking slightly so has anyone any tips for stopping this?

Also got a leak on the EZ connector on my hose reel, buggered if i know how to fix that as its the actual connection itself and not where the pipes go on, anyone got any suggestions please to stop these?

last thing as well is how many and where do you drill your drain holes in the floor to get rid of the water you get on the floor in the back of the van?

regards ste

put loads of pfte tape on, it the best thing to do

if it is cracked you need a new one,   but if it where it goes in side   ptfe it again

look where the water goes and drill a hole there

just have a look under van before you drill, to see where abouts you will be drilling,   u proabbly wont be the first person to drill in to a tank by mistake lol

You need a lot of ptfe, plenty of wraps, a minimum of 6 wraps!
