im about to get rid of my ro side of it and fit another di, i dont need the ro as it slows down my tank fill up time and my water is soft enough for just the di.

It has a 40inch membrane along the top of the tank with a red flush screw handle at one end,it also has di vessel at the bottom left hand side of the tank, and 2 blue cased filters at the front above the pumps.I could do with whatever info you have as to which pipes go where really?Ia m going to keep everthing together in the van.Thanks.

inlet pipe comes in and through the first valve on the side of the fleft hand blue filter. then a small pipe into the next blue filter, this then goes up and into the membrane on the right hand side, you then have the waste that comes out of the membrane on the back side of it(looking at it straight on as you have explianed) out of the side of the membrane the pipe goes into the di and then out the other side and into the top of the tank. ;D

60 ish ;D. i started my first fill up the other day and it took forever, i could put a booster pump on as advised on here but i dont think the ro is much help to me as the waste water also worries me with being on a meter, to fill my 650ltr it would mean me using about 1500ltrs and i cant justify that cost, i can however justify paying out for the resin changes ;D

That red waste handle should it be open all the time when filling and closed when not, also someone said about opening it for 1 minute when running to flush the membrane is this right?

from what i was told you need to measure the flow rates of it, if its fully opened then nothing will go in your tank, its a good idea to get two measuring jugs, stick the waste in one and the pipe coming from your di into the other, measure them over a minute and you want to have a mix of about 60/40 in favour of waste, therefore if you fill a litre over a minute of waste then you should have 800ml ish in the other jug.

Also flush the membrane for about 30 minutes each week, so leave the tap fully open and turn your water on.

i was told all of the above on here so if its wrong please dont shout me down. ;)

this is one of the reasons i am getting rid of the ro side of things, im on a meter and i cant affod that sort of water wastage plus my tds is only about 60 ish.
