its the exact type i have

no the TDS will not alter, i sometimes have leaves floating about in my barrel in the summer if i go past a bush that gets caught in the truck

my old man went on about this.    but i said it would take forever. (obviously i'm wrong )

sensai, what size hose do you use for syphoning?

i was a little worried that water may get higher ppm readings, if syphon hose got dirty.

i have escort van, so leave barrel in van near back door, backpack on floor tube in and away you go!

30 secs is quick, it takes me this long to pour out of barrel.

Lee, I do the same as you mate. Just a tip, cut out a piece of viscoline or other plastic material into a foot square piece. Then tape this onto the back of the backpack so that it forms a skirt to prevent any water getting into the battery compartment.
You only need one strip  of tape across the top of the plastic, you can then easily lift the skirt to get to your battery. Mine is bone dry these days.

I reakon it takes me about 30 secs to fill my backpack, it comes out like it on a transfer pump, obvisouly the barrel is higher than the backpack.
