second clean on a house 2day hubby in only 6 windows and 2 doors finnish clean nock on door.he says dont u spray any cleaner on them i say i have use pure water he says o rite got no money will have to c wife wen she gets bk in from work no probs i say bye.get home 20 mins later phone goes its the wife my hubby says u havnt cleaned windows proply u was only there 5 mins and theres smears all over the glass frame not be cleaned and iv never heard off pure water cleaning muck off windows b4. i explain method still not happy so i offer todo them trad next but they still cancel.but yet never said any thing about the first clean i did a month ago wen they was minging.and 2 top it off i  cleaned the dirty paw marks off the bk door.but still never mind as i piked up a new custy so i hav lost anything but it just pi**** me off wen they dont listen.so wen i collect 2nite im taking a print out off wfp and how it works.

Wezzy, why not call round tomorrow when its daylight and speak to your customer.  You can just show them the windows are clean; the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

But personally I'd just forget about them.  They - as has already been mentioned - have probably just used you as a Christmas clean.

i did say to her on the phone that if she not happy with the windows id go round and clean them again but still said no thanks.as i say to all off my custys if there not happy il do them again for them and in 4 mnths off working on me own not had 1 yet.

i now tell new customers its £xx per month with a minimum of 3 cleans but must admit i hate it when i go to a customers and find the old man in they look at you on £20 - £30 ph and think i can do that

i usually say "what you got to realise is alot of time is lost to bad weather; so when i'm off my previous days wages  has been halved"

Why offer to do them trad again. Stick to your commitment of using wfp method, don't let customer dictate your working method as you are your own boss.

When passing just chuck a dirty bucket of water over and tell them your conscience wouldn't allow you to keep something that they haven't paid you for.....

yes u r rite and so im not going todo them any method as the saying goes another 1 bits the dust.but this 1 as already been replaced so iv not lost anything

This is the letter we give to all new customers, it generally works and prevents a lot of questions and seems to pacify them:

LIONHEART WINDOW CLEANING

Dear Valued Customer,

Due to recently introduced Health & Safety legislation (European Work at Height Regulations 2005) regarding the use of ladders for cleaning and access, we are now starting to use a PURE WATER POLE CLEANING SYSTEM to clean some, if not all of your windows.

How does it work?
The Pure Water System incorporates a 5 stage water purification process that removes all impurities from the water including particulates, chlorines and carbons, this Pure Water is then stored in a large tanked fitted to the vehicle. When required, the water is pumped from the tank through pipe-work to a jetted brush head on the end of a pole.  The windows, frames and sills are then jetted, washed and brushed to remove all dirt.  The final stage of the process is where the brush is lifted away from the window, the window is spray rinsed with Pure Water and left to dry naturally.

The Advantages
•   Safety, no ladders to fall off!
•   Privacy
•   Environmentally friendly, no detergents are required
•   Frames can be cleaned along with the glass
•   Previously inaccessible windows can now be cleaned safely
•   We can now also clean conservatory roofs, fascias, etc

The changes you will notice
•   The windows will be left wet, but they will dry streak and smear free
•   For the first one or two times you may see small white spots on your windows, this is detergent residue from previous cleans
