lost a day today due to van froze up so took everything out got some of those jackets u put round hot water tanks keep heat in,fully linned back of van out with them roof sides,then got some foil type stuff and put this on inide of van doors,and its having a quilt thrown over it tonight so hopefully this will stop it freezing agan ha

i keep my hose reel and pole in the garage, i empty my tank in the van in the evening so overnight my van is pretty much empty, in the morning spend 15 mins filling my van up via a tansfer pump from storage tank in garage,

no frozen tank, hose reel, pole or pipes, easy!

i have my van totally insulated and plyed, nothing froze inside it, it was only when i took it out that it froze

Replace any small jets or 'y' pieces for larger ones to minimise freezing.

Use 2 layer pole hose i.e. yellow lite 5mm stuff.

Don't leave pole lying on the ground when not in use.

Keep water flowing through hose as much as possible if hose unreeled and keep wound up when not in use to prevent freezing.

Keep pump insulated from tank to hosereel and you minimise freezing of system.

Insulate van with plywood and insulate tank and there is no need to put a heater in your van overnight.

Also insulate any hoses from water purification to your storage tank and from transfer tank and you're sorted.

Pre preparation prevents poor performance
