i had a whacking great day lined up, but it was an hours drive away from home, not driving that distance in this, will take 3 hours knowing what uk drivers are like!!

plus, i have to say, i would feel a bit mercenary cleaning windows on a day like today. chasing the £££.

**edited to ad**

mrs is away in ireland today, due back this afternoon, and Lutons flights are suspended.....so may have my xmas do! yeeeeeha!!

there is not much snow up here in manchester.its -1 though!i think the water will freeze on the glass before ive squeegyed it off!just a light dusting of snow but plenty of ice!does putting screenwash in bucket stop it freezing?im undecided.im a week behind if i write the week off.maybe get the rest of my pressies wrapped/clean flat and get out early tommorrow and finish my xmas shopping!start fresh on monday and try and get 3 good days in before 11 days xmas break! ;D ;D.re-schedule for monday i think.ive got quite a bit of money to chase up tonight.so thats my plan! ;D

In my experience the water won't freeze in the hose.  As long as you keep the water pumping as much as you can.  Keep it flowing and it won't freeze, turn it off and it might.  Oh and bring some road salt with you to chuck a bit down outside risk areas.

I'm late so I'm off!  Brrrrr

We've just knocked it on the head here, water is freezing on windows and I've just witnessed two slow speed crashes and a good few cars sliding round corners, main roads are clear but the side roads are treacherous.

My carpet cleaning lads are away into Wooler (Cheviot Hill country) today doing three jobs, one of which is a very big one, may see them back here by Tuesday after it thaws out!!

pWhy not just put isopropanol in the water  ;D

Because unless you put 20/ 30 Percentit will freeze when the hose hits the floor Fact.

I'll be using a back pack, save all hassle of hoses on the floor.

thick snow here
my road is a dead end on a hill, cars parked either side and single file traffic.
Have spent morning so far watching people try to 3 point turn their cars around (well more like 15 point !) because they were facing uphill doh ! sliding and wheel spinning all over the place  :D
I had the forsight to be facing downhill with my wheels turned into the road and enough space in front of me to drive out, well thats the plan  ;D
I'd probably have stayed home any other day but its my last working day before xmas and I've a big job on that I've already been paid for, bring it on, should be fun  :D ;)
