WFP Up & Down?
«

Out on my travels today and came across a wfp van so i pulled over and watch him. He cleaned tops, bottoms and doors with wfp. My plan is to only do tops with wfp...
Is it better or faster to clean all windows with wfp instead of going back to clean downs trad?

That practice goes back to the early days of wfp when people had backpacks or trollys and limited amounts of water available to them.

As I am not very tall, I needed to carry steps around with me to reach the top of most down stairs windows doing trad. For me it was a no brainer to do the bottom WFP as well.
In the early days we had an Unger Teleplus pole for the tops and would swop over to a smaller pole for the bottoms. Now we use an SLX so have 1 pole that can do most of our downstairs work as well. We have a couple of narrow spaces where I get a short pole out for as the SLX is too long to use, even sideways.

Its not crazy to trad the ground floor stuff if you use a backpack on a sacktruck, it makes perfect sense and gives you a bit of variety in a boring repetative job. Personaly I can blade glass quicker than I can pole it correctly at that height. Remember all domestic rounds are different, no 2 are the same and wfp top/ blade ground simlpy works better for some guys. Like myself for example. Not on everything, just on lots of work.

there is some sense in wfp tops and trad bottoms.
just do what ever works for you!
wfp tops and save water by trad bottoms or wfp the lot and be a bit quicker.
i would def wfp all conservatories tho!
it doesnt matter what method you use, aslong as customers happy and pays up.
