ro horizontal or vertical?

hey i am going to be making a sort of cagefor my ro 4040 and was wondering does it matter wether the ro membrane is horizontal or vertical?

Can't see why it should make any difference, it's all under pressure so doesn't rely on gravity.  Why not do a trial run? Turn you membrane on its side and see if it still performs properly, then if it does you can make a permanent horizontal mounting.

My RO Man 4040 system is mounted vertically, thats how it came already made up. My Gaps Water 4040 is mounted horizontal, but i made it all up from the parts supplied and just mount boarded it.

I have a 4040 mounted horizontal and vertical, makes no difference from what I remember, van mount is horizonal, static is vertical.
