I had a 400ltr lay flat in my berlingo but changed it in the end for a custom made 350 as the 400ltr took up to much floor so the reel had to be mounted ontop of the tank

I had a 600 Berlingo (same van as partner) put a 250lt and a 125lt in there, when I filled it up it was like preparing for take off, nose up in the air
You've only got 600kg total carring capacity, including yourself, fuels, oils, hosereel, poles, etc etc, with a 400ltr filled you'll almose certainly be overweight, unless you only weigh 6 stones

I've got a Peugeot Partner. 250l is about as much as you want, you have your poles, pump battery, fuel, you, and sundries. It adds up quickly
