Yes. Fan or pencil.

I'm happy with the brush supplied.
It's a game of three halves!

To be honest I have nothing to compare it too,. I am just going into wfp, But was amazed at how light it was. feels less weight than the little cardboard box it come in, Thought they forgot to send it out till I opened the box... lol. Looks nice  :-\, Thats all I can say. Sorry mate.

I know alot of people here have the Sl brush and are happy.

I done it to see the uproar on here!

On a serious note tho, Its a nice piece of kit. Had it extended to just over 20 foot almost horizontle and it was so rigid and barely moved!

When holding it upright at 25ft, I can see why lightness is very important, Glad I waited and avoided other poles.

the sl-x is definitly a great pole, the funny bit is because it is so expensive, we tend to use our cheaper poles on most of the work, so we dont damage it  ::)

I thought compaired to other poles that are carbon it was a good price. Considering the specs are alot better!!

The amount of money I have borrowed from my girlfriend and gran recently is not good. Made a few mistakes with cash in the last few months.....  :-[

they are a brilliant pole even the 35 ft one is light enough to use on bottom windows all day.
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

I pretended to wash a window to see what it felt like in hand, and was so light.

I was thinking more of the closed length rather then weight.  I thought that even as small as 5ft 3 inch it may be a bit too long for down stairs?

5ft 3inches would be ideal closed length, but I think Gardiner’s advertise that closed length without the angle adaptor & brush attached so the closed length is closer to 6ft with a brush attached.

I was just about to post and it said you had. I was saying exactly this. all in all my sl-x is about 5,10" with angle adapter and plastick neck, Still felt pretty good!!

The slx poles are the dogs danglies.

I bought an 18' slx and a 35' slx in September,I was not that impressed at first due to problems with the clamps on my 18' pole. The pole was sent back twice to gardiners because it was so difficult to extend and contract the pole sections. I was hopeing they would refund me my money when I sent it back.

I am so glad they sent it back to me as my 18'pole wipes the floor with every pole I have ever used,As the outer resin started to wear out the pole sections now glide up and down when being used. The pole only weighs 1kg, the handle section is very narrow and its so rigid.I go faster over a day and use a lot less energy as when you put pressure on the pole it goes straight to the brush head on the glass. My 17' xtels are now history,I use the 17'xtel on the odd house just to remind me how good the slx is.

4 months ago I thought the 17' xtel was the best bang for your buck pole on the market. That is no longer true. That honour now belongs to the 17' slx,at £100.00 more the an xtel it is an absoulte STEAL.
The flock brush on my 18' slx is a marriage made in heaven.
