gutter vac problem

gutter vac problem

to those that use the omni-vac how do you cope with the long pine needles i used mine for the first time today and it was only on a normal house but it just wouldnt touch the long pine needles
i even went and got a handfull of needles put them on the ground and still it wuldnt suck them up am i doing sumthing wrong or is it just not cut out for this type of thing
please help

Its not you mate, it cant suck up pine needles very well and if it does manage to pick up a few they block up the nozzle

You obviously have a problem as I have had no problem with pine needles.
How many motors do you have switched on? I usually run 2

ive had all 3 on but it just wont touch them and if it wont then im very dissapointed as theres loads around here and nealy all my customers have pine needles
looks like ive wasted my money

We cannnot clean pine needles from communal area carpets and hard flooring with any type of vacuum cleaner upright with brushes get clogged and tub type tubes get blocked>
I hate it after Xmas when custies drag their Xmas trees out and leave all the needles behind.

Use a gutter spike to break up the matting of the needles first, even so I steer clear of houses with pine needles or put them on a 2x annual clean

I think gutter vacs are only good for certain situations,
They wouldnt touch half the gutters where i live
