Tell them there is more work involved on a monthly clean and unless you double the price, they are better off money wise. I find it usually works if you tell someone they are saving money.

I would say that having them done every months means I have to find another half a customer to fill the half a customer slot, it means more paper work= more time, now lets talk about the cleaning side, there will be double the amount of dirt, then there is the cleaning of my equipment.................By this time they will be begging you to go and will welcome you charging them more.

Can I ask why you clean windows every 2 weeks anyway ?

yeh im up north and i do mainly 2weekly cleans,if a house is 3.50 i jus pt it up to a fiver if they ask for monthly,it more dirt on the windows n sills,so more time,so more money. if they complain jus tell em it the goin rate and they wont find another window cleaner who will do it cheaper,it ur lively hood at the end of the day

thats simple! here what i do and works for more.

just tell the customer because they have changed the frequency the windows & sills will be bit more dirty, so it will take you longer and they are paying for your time aswell as the service you provide.

if you just tell the customers from the start that its cheaper for 2 weekly than monthly and so on ... then you should get no probs

i personally think fornightly cleans are too frequent on domestics!i did used to do them years ago.4 weekly/6weekly/8weekly now.i charge the same for all frequencys unless the 4 weeklys underpriced then if they go 8 weekly i add a pound or two.
price higher/work harder!

I think two weekly for domestics is more of a northern thing.  Never heard of it in the south.

They have more smog to contend with up north ;)

I too reckon 2 weekly is too much, LIke someone else on here I used to do a few 2 weekly houses but in time every one of them realised that I always seemed to be at their house!!

As a result around 99% of our domestic customers are 4 weekly, almost all the rest 8 weekly and 1 12 weekly.

Even then I occasionally get a 4 weekly customer say, " Blimey, are they due already???"

Come and talk dirty to us!!!

if u got a round that 2weekly and sum1 asks u to do theys monthly and u dont change the price, word ull soon get around and ull find more people avin em dun monthly, therefore u loose money, and u have to pick up custies to make up for it. that why u shud always charge more for monthly than u do fornightly :)
nah people in the north must like 2 be cleaner than those in the south  :P lol

I find that sometimes even every month seems a little too regular!  I prefer to charge well and have a longer cleaning frequency.

Once every 6-8 weeks round here is the normal interval and even then it seems like I am there every five minutes. The windows aren't bad even after 8 weeks.

What people don't realise, even with monthly cleans is that the customer only has so much money and you can only take so much off them. 1wayno talks about charging £3.50 for a house every 2 weeks and putting it up to £5 for 4 weeks. I have a minimum charge if £15 for a house and I will clean it as frequently or as infrequently as they want. Most now say do it every 8 weeks. Thats fine, but offering two weekly cleans is shooting yourself in the foot because the customer is only going to be willing to do that if the price is rock bottom.

And my books are full, we are turning work away.

Why give them the choice of a 2 weekly clean ? Do you guys offer it or do you let the customer dictate to you ?

I offer a 4 or 8 weekly service and I would only be tempted to make an exception if it was realy going to be worth my while(ie money to good to argue)
