Need to get a new set of ladders after christmas and was considering geting a triple set...

Any one use them ....

What are your thoughts...

I have a set of triple DIY'ers though. very compact for inside a particular hotel I do

definately not!what do u need triples for if u got WFP?im TRAD and use 3.5metre 2 section trade.any higher than first floor i use my trad pole.i wouldnt want to go higher than first floor unless its gutter clearing(then only 3 bed semis or lowish 4-5 bedroom houses!)

We've got a set of triples that go to 10.4m, weigh a ton and have only been used a handful of times, 2-3 man job to get them up.

i use a triple2metre Abru and very handy it is  . id never change to a double ladder now,although iv a double set,its left at home 

folk who have doubles usually have a small pointer too ,but if you have a small triple you  can use it to just hop up  a tad ,no need for a pointer .   also a small triple ducks under washing lines very easily  and good thru alleyways if you work council estates . also a small triple is just the right size to  get over a locked back gate by unclipping the top one and easy to lift it up -n-over

I use a 6.75 mitre lightweight Triple and I am a large man I would not have anything else, 1 mine are light weight. I can lift them with one hand and I am not a young guy.2 they are more stable as they have a 3 foot cross stabilizer, this prevents side sliding with a stand off or mitts very safe.3 easy to store. 4 never extend on my vehicle. The only time I use a heavier 10 metre double ladder is for gutters as one needs a longer ladder.

I borrowed Ian_Gile's triples over two-years-ago and I've still got them! 

Sod humping those about for any length of time; they weigh a ton!

 I use mine for gutter jobs only would carry mine around all day i would be knacked after a few hours but i do feel safer on them than my doubles

im after a set of triples myself as my doubles wont fit inside my van and i dont want to buy a roof rack as its a high roof van.

can anyone recommend a lightweight set of triples for gutter cleaning?

Try (ladders U K) when I bought my triple I thought it was flimsy but I have got used to them very light and easy to handle all day £ 95  a good price would not swop now.I use with mits and some time a stand off very stable due to cross bar at the bottom of ladder.Quick delivery no probs.

When trad. I used triples (lightweight DIY with ladder mitts and added swivel feet, changed every three years) and still use the top section, cut down to fit in my van, as a gate ladder with ladder mitts on.

On modern houses I would use it as a double - and it was incredibly light - and for higher stuff and gutters as a triple.

I last used it to paint the back of the house in summer. (Oh, in April I used it - footed by my trusty assistant -  to access a roof of a school which had those "bubble" skylights on which I cleaned wfp once I got up there.)
