whether or not u can do so many houses an hour blah!blah!is irrelevent!if u do a consistently bad job u will lose the work anyway in time!i picked up my first custy for 2 months yesterday who did have a wfpoler and she was not happy with the results.i keep hearing this time after time about WFP.its getting a bad name all over the country on domestics.ITS UP TO ME TO GET A SYSTEM WHERE I WORK AND SHOW THEM WFP IS SAFER,A MORE THOROUGH CLEAN ETC,ETC.ive got a good reputation for doing a good job, reliable and trustworthy.AND to convince them that wfp is perfectly acceptable for cleaning windows!ill have the best of both worlds as im already a fast accompished trad cleaner.maybe ill wfp tops only at first and trad the bottoms til they get used to the idea!train the custys up to WFP! ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

could wfp be getting a bad name as people are rushing to get jobs done, to earn loads of money,   as they can use the excuse 2- 3 cleans to get spot less

yeh i agree, wfp is gettin a bad name, and im gettin one nxt year,i think these guys were jus rushin to get the work dun faster =more money, but if they carry on like that, they are bound to start loosin work,im considered a fast trad window cleaner, but the results i produce cant be beaten,as long as you do a good job that all that counts :) i do think wfp is gettin a bad name coz of people tryin to rush they work to earn more money,i think the wfp is good and the results can be jus as good as trad but only if u use it properly and take ur time espec on the first couple of cleans,if u rush it and do a bad job,ur only makin a bad name for urself, and in this game that the last thing u want :)

Quite possibly. The trouble is, there's that many variable situations where wfp is concerned that's why the subject is so huge & a constant topic on here.

The general assumption that wfp is twice as fast & twice as lucrative as trad is not fact, although that is what seems to get shoved down peoples throats. So, I for one can see why a newbie wfp'er would go flat out to try to acheive what he thinks is the norm & what he has been led to beleive.

Only time & experience will learn you where wfp is "the tool to use" as in the real world where wfp is concerned speed, perfect results & all the other tripe that goes along with it is not always acheivable!

This is why I can say that a wfp'er with only a couple of months experience can't tell for sure what is what!

i dont believe just doing a good job is all that counts at all on domestics!i believe trust, reliability and friendliness sometimes count more !!it does help if u can clean to a reasonable standard as well though i suppose!! ;) ;)

this is also true,  weather wfp or trad, how many times have u left windows clean and with in 24 hours they are dirty again, u have no control over this,  i have only every had one problem with wfp and that was because it left windows wet, she was a pain,  i have had a few cancel,  with crap excuses, that could of been down to wfp, i will never know

over all custys are happy with wfp, as they want clean windows,  i think a lot of wfp problems are in the wc mind

f the gov decided that all ladders will be banned, no exceptions, and the trad guys used a pole,  u would end up with the arguement   what is best trad pole or wfp

regarding the speed question, how many times have you done a house and thought that was quick and then done a other one and took ages, everything in the end evens it self out,

even if ladders get banned, which they wont as its not viable, who the hell would police it and make sure your not using them?

Ive been WFP for about 2 months now from a backpack, i should have my van set up running this week. I still do the odd one trad but there is no way i would switch back to full trad as i personally find wfp safer, quicker, as good as quality and also a lot easier on my body.

when i made the switch i gave all of my customers a letter expalining how it worked and also how they have the option to switch back to trad if they didnt like the way it worked, every single one of my customers loves the new way especially as they now also get their frames cleaned and that im now less likely to fall off my ladders and hurt myself.

I have a brilliant relationship with all of my customers due to me always having time to stop for a chat or do them favours like fix leaking gutters. I go out of my way to make sure the customers are happy and this shows with the way they treat me, i have had other cleaners try and come onto the estates i do and they are swiftly told where to go by all of them.

If you dont do your job properly and listen to your customers then someone else will.
