i am 38 and been cleaning windows since i was thirteen and a few other jobs in between. but when i started on wfp i hadent a clue and it was the only reason i found forums as i can honestly say i dont have any questions on ladder work.

but back to the origanal post the price doesnt matter whether its 12.50 or 3.50 but how can anybody call anybody a cowboy because they can do 4 houses in 20 minutes is beyond me especially as there is three lads on the job. also i know it wasnt you but to be called a lyer because i said it can be done easily and i would add it can be done from the ladder in that time also not just wfp. now if the guys made a mess and missed windows etc there cowboys. but the post didnt say that

and to jdeasy reach if you dont believe it can be done and done properly come with me for a day and me and my lad will do it easily and i am sure i can find a few that can match that with ladder as well. however as i said the price is irrelevant its the size or amount of windows that count along with access etc

No one's looking down on anyone. Just stating the truth for the benefit of others. I've been driving for 20 years but wouldn't dream of telling formula 1 test drivers what can & can't be done in a racing car as I wouldn't be far enough up my own arse to assume I actually could!

4 house, 3 blokes, 20 mins that would be a breeze, I bet if it was 4 houses in 20 mins with 3 blokes charging £5 the thread wouldnt of been started, the blokes priced well
£12.50 a house (probs had a minimum charge), 12 houses a hour, £150 a hour, pays his lads £20, £130 to the business, good on him at least someone has there price structure sorted 
It baffles me how a non wfp window cleaner can even state people that are wfp that there lying,  tell you what when you go wfp you let us know and ill let you come do my windows and prove youll leave them spot free

im not sayin they cudnt do it,my mate has priced these 6 houses up at £9 each and it only takes him an hour to do,if they are good and hard workin windows cleaners and they got a good price for the houses then yes it can easily be done,and good luck to em. when it comes to wfp setups ups and all that kinda stuff,then fair enuff im not ashamed to say i dont av a clue bout that,coz i dont,but knwin how quick they are,and the results they produce,then i do av a clue about that,and that wat this topic is about,so i dont see the reason for some people to say to other u dont know wat ur tlkin about wen really they do is this instance,that wat i mean,i dont have a ferrari,dusnt mean i cant say its a good car,and how fast it is,u know wat i mean,i am a nice guy normally wunt kick off over anythin like this lol must be that time of the month lol

when all is said and done... regardless of how quick, if the windows are dirty....... then those guys get the bad name...no one else...

then eventually we get them houses and show them how its done...customer happy..we happy.... and another dodgy cleaner bites the dust and gets a bad reputation.

its good that they are around really...!

i like it. just like i like the summer brigade... i get lots of their customers when they go back to their dole jobs.

Wayno, what you say makes sense (sort of in a pidgeon way ), but this is why you come on the forum, you can hit £15 ph, or you can have a business. The thing is to leave room in your thinking to consider you might be wrong. I am often wrong about stuff (well actually not as often as you might think), but the point is that sticking with the program can earn you a lot of money wayno, and you might as well have some while you are still young.Good luck to you.

wow sorry for disagreeing here lads, that said the original poster has yet to fill us in on how big the houses were and if they used wfp or trad or both?  Oh and if the houses are in a row maybe just maybe it could have been done if maintenance cleans BUT if they are all separate houses theres no way you could go around them in that time, i dont think so anyway.  It takes me 15 minutes on a maintenance clean on my own with wfp so 3 guys would take at least 30 mins on 4 houses thats taking moving from house to house into account too Not starting a row here lads just giving my opinion.
