Has anyone got an opinion of ENZ-ALL, used it as a pre-spray on a couple of occasions with some great results. But have since been advised to not use it due to possible health implications?
Had a look at the MSDS sheet which says its carsonagenic! How could this be???
Is there anyone else using enzyme based pre sprays?
Can anyone recommend a good all purpose pre spray?

hi i use enzyme all the time and power burst i think if it was carsona genic i dont think they would sell it and i get mine from john and lynn restormate.

Hi Guys,

En Zall does contain a chemical which is listed as a possible carcinogen.

However just as important is the general use of enzymes.

Because they are catalysts a very small quantity can be very effective but can also cause asthma in sensitive people.

I would only use enzymes when their unique qualities cannot be achieved by anything else, but not as a routine prespray.

Enz-all is a specific product for protein soiled carpets such as in restaurants and pubs. It is perfectly safe to use but as Doug says some people may have a sensitivity to the enzymes. However minor exposure is not harmful and this kind of sensitivity tends to build up over time with excessive use. Use it for those specific jobs but not on every carpet. And as for any cleaning product, follow the directions for use and suitable PPE when it advises you on the MSDS sheet.
Lots of cleaning products contain carcinogens, I believe Chemspec have to list them due to the really tight laws in California where they obviously sell a lot of product.
