turned up to clean this old womans windows and she said can you clean out my gutter on the front and i`l treat u to another 50p. i said you`l be looking at 20quid. think she nearly had heart attack

i did an asians house once and they had thier insides done i went into a bedroom and thier son was in bed asleep. they said just stand on the bed and do the window. i thought this was crazy, but he didn`t wake up.

can u leave them for 6 months cos were having building work done?yeh fine but i will charge u a 1st clean price especially if there cement,brck dust,stickers etc to scrape off when i start cleaning them again.custy says yeh fine.she said ill ring ya when were done.no probs as its a £60 house.go back after 6 months or so.windows are mingin so i knock on door,she sat in the front room and glances up then legs it into the kitchen and wouldnt answer the door!!dumped!she was a annoying stuck up bitch anyway!

i had one the other week who wants me knock ever time i am in the area, to see if shes in and does she want them doing,  her and a few neightbours all got dumped, got sick of going back time after time to get payment, even thought they all know i call around the following monday

i use to work in a chipy, when first started it was amazing how many wouldnt have money to pay for window, but would then order £20 worth of food that night

customers are getting more and more crazy!

went to a bungalow the other day - customer says - dont do it this month, its too windy. 
had lots from
- it rained this morning so they are clean!
- i see you have a nice new van we dont want the windows cleaned anymore!
- and of course that old chessnut - my son done them yesterday!

i was thinking of trying to get the customers to understand they cant just say yes or no when you turn up!
can really hurt your income for the day/week!

its like all the taxi drives, who people try to haggle down on price, saying they can pocket the money and dont have to tell anyone


i dont mind custy not having money to pay, as you can catch up with them, its when they make up bull to try and get out of paying, as they havent got guts to cancel,  or they wait for you to do front then say dont do it this month
 

i dumped one custy half way throught there first clean, windows where green with crap  and black in side from dirt, and i knocked on the door for something and took them 5 minutes to answer door,  do you know when you get that feeling these are going to be pains and never pay,  still do there neighbour house and when i pull up in van they wont come out of house lol   i think they think i am going to demand my money

i love that excuse,  custys seem to think that we must all be doles,  i am going to try knocking in my jeans and football top with my mk3 escort i bet i get loads of custys,   tell them i can do any day except fridays as i got to sign on

slightly going off the topic

- i hate it when you go to price up a new house and you start thinking what happend to the last cleaner?

 give them a price, explain its cheaper to be cleaned once a month than 2 monthly and so on, go through all the paymnet methods you want, customers happy!

call round the next month - get all the kit out, just about to start and the window opens and you get the words you didnt want to hear "can you leave it this month please"

you tell them it will be a few quid more next month as they have changed the frequency and the original price was for a monthly clean - customers says oh i didnt know that, can you leave it then.

NOW I KNOW WHAT HAPPEND TO THE LAST WC!

yeah ive had that alot to. prob find each previous wc was not charging enough and dumped it.

i`ve had that. i think their are still cleaners who do a bit of work for their beer money or to put a bet on then never return. new custys say to me they came once and never saw them again. those custys also turn out to be good ones
