Does anyone on here do flood cleaning/restoration?
I have found a local company that offers training, and im quite intrested especially with the constant rain we are having!!
Is it a closed shop type of trade?
Any thought on this be good

hi there

i have done quite a bit of this work, varying from private, commercial and public sector.

it paid us well, we built up relationships with loss adjusters, but it can be a closed shop in some instances, as insurnace companies tend to have a  board of approved contractors, the question about whether they are the best people tp do the job is another discussion.

we provided all the flood cover for schools in two counties, and did very well, along with the floods three years ago.

hard work but great fun.

sure dereck there called "the national flood school" and they are based in surrey, they also do fire restoration, and i think they also may do trauma cleaning training

NFS offer excellent training , now getting into the work is another story.
