Yes, don't put any liquid in it. The idea of carrying round a supply of water on your hip doesn't work unless you don't mind being permanently wet.

It's inevatable that your going to get damp from your BOAB, I don't know how you'll stop your trousers getting it. I've never had any pain caused from it. What I done yesterday was wear a pair of trakie bottoms under my work trousers and it didn't get through.

I never seem to notice 'wet leg syndrome', though no doubt get it, and I sometimes do fill my BOB a third full of my bucket solution.  Another way to have some portable water handy is to fill a Fairy bottle up with bucket solution and carry that about with you in a pouch on the rear of your belt kit.  Then when you need it, just squeeze a little solution onto your applicator.

I'll also dip my applicator into puddles, water butts, wet it with outside taps; anything rather than go and walk to my bucket.   ;D

All of my guys put a beer towel folded long ways underneath the BOAB and tucked behind their belts.

I just soak my mop to start with and wring it through in the Boab, Then in my pouch carry a 500ml coke bottle full of water etc just to top my mop up, or throw a bot on big connys before mopping!!

I find it's mainly caused when you put the applicator back in the boab. It scrapes the top edge & runs down the back & onto your trousers.

It's worse if you have a thick app' sleeve or the ettore boab (which is narrower than the unger)

I switched from unger monsoon to ettore porcupine sleeves & this totally cured the problem. I now use wagtails though & don't get a wet leg. Wish wagtail would bring their own boab out!

I have never got a wet hip yet. But what could fix your problem would be a canvas apron. Worn on the hip instead of the front like the one chef’s were in the kitchen. I also do not put any water in my Boab only what come off my squeegee and I often have to empty it out. I carry my large bucket with me and dip squeegee in from time to time and then squeeze out with my squeegee before putting it in my boab

Exactly. Take a dip in your bucket before you go round the back. Not many houses i can't do in one dip!  ;D
