dean so when working all over the country do you just aim for a profit no matter how small??
ie 3 men do a £400 job in leeds its say 3hours travelling and a 8 hour job you pay your guys £8 a hour so thsts 11x8x2=176 you have running costs of say £60 your left with164 for 11 hours work.

Is thi good or bad business to you?

Ronnie,

Im talking profit,

We are getting confused ;) ;)

obviously id need more work to sustain 10 employees and a £2500 per week profit,

What im getting at is on a whole I could live with my business making no profit 2 weeks a month as long as i could make enough in the other 2 months,

I could attract a good guy and only be able to offer him 2 weeks a month and he wouldnt be interested,

If I could make a killing from him 2 weeks a month but just cover his wages for the other 2 he would stay,

With me?

yep i agree.

i believe im too greedy and need to learn if m business is to continue to epand i need to think about a bigger quantity with less profit rather than less work more profit if you get my drift.

I wouldnt mind having 50 employees with a £2500 pw profit,

You would just need to find the work to keep them all going,

Ie, Lidl, starbucks, mcdonalds plus the work that really pays  ;) ;) ;),

fifty staff would cause you tons of headache and you would definately want more than £2500 a week profit from that many staff.
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

went down to quote for the cheshire oaks mcdonalds where my friend is the assistant manager he asked me to cum down to quote and to speak to the manager, got there totalled up the windows over 100 average sized windows and approx 50 small windows at top that are about 4 inches in height, he said the last guy goes each month 4 times a week doing internal and external for £250 and pretty much wanted to match that i said sod that i wouldnt get out of bed that works out at £15 quid a visit what wold everyone else do?????????

wouldnt even be worth sending an employee on 7quid an hour!!!

£250 X 12 = 3000
52 X 4 = 208 Will be sat or sun
£14.42 per vist   stay in bed will also require holiday cover.fed up not hard up

Trevor this was a bad example of running a business but a good example of alcohol messing with my mind,

The £2500 is a goer of a plan,

The 50 staff at present is not.

how many staff for £2500 profit dean?

is that after tax?

My plan is to get roughly some where near 50 k profit  year and stay under vat :)

i reckon i can do it with 2 of us, one doing 3 days a week and me on 4-5

But obviously you can do loads more just be employing and taking on vat

i want a stress free business though i think, no vat , no employing headached

the lad ibe got now is good, and just wants 3 days , it suits me, maybe once i get where i wanna be i will take the next step but right now i just wanna hit that first target in the next 12 months

As many as it took sean ;)

Vat would be unavoidable though as £2500 is £120k+ on its own ;D
