Scrim...a major problem

I am at my wits end.....when i wash my scrim i find it creases up if i fold it.Tell me do you guys fold it up as well???

yes fold it up after being on line or rad. just whip it before use seems to get rid of the problem ;)

Best thing with scrim is to put it on the max heat for washing and when done put in the tumbling dryer till bone dry, shaking once half way through.

I found tumble drying scrims seemed to make them not soak up as well, also killed  washer/dryer as it blocked everything up

hardly a major problem!its not a shirt ur gonna wear for sunday best!! ;D ;Dits the fibres that are left on the windows sometimes that are a pain.modern day scrim is poope compared to the irish linen u used to get!

Yes, in practice it helps if it is slightly damp, but it will get like that after a few houses anyway.

Try that scrim that's more like hessian, yes it leaves fibres, but it shifts dirt better than trad scrim.

i see theres an online place called GIVANS  that sell irish linen by the metre , is that what you used to buy daz ??

Everything is creased when washed and dried, thats why my wife irons the scrim ready for the days work. Do you not do this?

I boil wash my scrims, then tumble dry them, then iron them. Putting them on the rad makes them go so stiff the iron still wont make them any good, where as ironing after tumble makes them so good to work with.

Few fibres but just whip them. No creases for me when folded after either!!
