I need a skirt for my Texatherm rotary so that the slurry doesent fly up the wall when doing tiled floors.

Any ideas where to get one.

Texatherm dont know in case you ask as the rotary is a special model they tell me.

Hi Mark,

The Texatherm rotary is a Nilfisk 421a.  A 17” 175rpm low speed rotary. These are suitable for carpet cleaning-shampoo or bonnet, hard floor cleaning and wood floor sanding etc.

I purchased my hard floor splash skirt from Dowding & Plummer in Birmingham. Tel: 01279453950

They are manufactured oversized to accommodate most low speed rotaries.

I’m sure that you should find a supplier in Ireland, or perhaps Mike Boxall may be able to help.

I paid about £6.00 plus VAT for mine.

Thanks lads.

I cleaned the slate floor today.  Cleaned up a treat but the slurry was a foot up the walls so wasted a good bit of time cleaning it off.  Customer was at work thankfully.

Has the 421A been superseded with the b series or is the A series unique? I did and do like the balance of the tex machine.

To be honest thought my second paragraph was self-explanatory, if not get your-self on a hard floor course, cc may use the same type machines, but a different ball game as you have proved!

I retract in what I said “A true pro in every sense of the word! Had a bad day trying to correct a problem from a so-called pro! Carpets not that much of a problem but splashes up the wall, they recon £15k to put right it was in an office complex. Now that’s sad!
