Strong winds this week-still use wfp?
« on: November 18, 2009, 07:28:55 am »
Morning all.Looks like strong winds for the next few days.I've not had any experience of working in these conditions yet.Is it a total waste of time though with dust blowing all over them?I can't really afford to not work but then again I can't really afford to lose customers down to the windows being lousy.

Better to lose some money for a week than lose a customer and much more money for a year.

Don't work in the rain/gales

It's windy here, but i'm going for it. I think we fear customers more than we really need to sometimes. The windows will be fine. Go for it. What's the worst that can happen? ? ?  :-X apart from ya £400 pole blowing over and snapping in 'arf. GOOOOO FOOOOORRRRR ITTTTTTTT  ;)

That is probably the best attitude, but I'm soft!  I don't mind working in inclement weather, I don't mind losing the odd customer, but I guess I'm frightened up looking like an idiot in front of people; not that that usually bothers me; but it does when it comes to cleaning windows in the weather I can see from where I'm sitting.

I'm getting dragged off to Ikea instead instead, and believe me, I'd rather have my finger nails pulled out than go to that place!

Craig its too damp out there to worry about dust. its the strong dry summer winds you have to watch with regards to dust being blown onto the glass.

Matt
Reaching parts traditional window cleaners can not reach.
