I have a mate that is out of work and we are going to start going out this week. I am going to give him £8ph and if he does well slip him a extra drink, Not sure how much the extra drink will be tho.

dont touch them they are a waste of time get out there ur self the results will be so much better.

do it your self. I did after reading the posts here. Spent a nervous hour knocking doors locally, got some interest, leafleted where no one in an had a call the next day to quote! am over there tomorow. Really pleased, it feels like I now have complete control over building my business. Give it a go - after the first door to be honest you realise folks arn't that scary after all

How can you pay them an hourly rate?

Canvasser: "I 've done 8 hours today, didn't get you any customers though as they all said no"

Window Cleaner: "Ok here's £64, see you again same time tomorrow" 

You need to pay them at a fixed rate for the work they bring in. Even then I would only part with my money once I was happy it was a bona fide job.

Not at all, We are going going out together. He is waiting for a job at £7ph so 8 part time is fine by him. I will be doing one side of the road whilst he does the other. So its not as if he is out on his own.

asked the same question of myself
for the agreed amount of work i wanted was going to cost me £7k . i wanted £3000 per month i can do a lot with £7k
giving it to someoneelse was not part of the plan .
been out leafleting the last few days . 1 job £130 a clean
quote tommorrow for a full house clean inside and out end of tennancy in january .
leafleted 2 villages with about 100 houses in each
both jobs in same village doing the £130 a clean job on friday so that was payment for 3 hours leafleting .
looking to leaflet another village b 4 end of week and will  knock them all next week .
giving everyone a chance to call me first .
busy every evening this week with school governor meetings and stuff . so next week knock them all .
bonus as it is the area that i grew up in and money used to stick to me when i was young like a magnet . everytime i had to go fund raising for school, scouts or the brass band i used to play in when i was a lad . so hope it works again .
