john have you advertised the gutter vac? i have one but i dont feel confident as with pressure washing. cos some gutters are hard to get at etc and i dont like using laddrers so if there is a bad blockage the vac wont suck it out. not sure if i will like doing lots of vac jobs. also the window cleaners are always under cutting you. :-X

Hi DS I havnt advertised it like I did the drive cleaning but most of that now comes from recommendation or from repeat customers, I know I need to get out and leaflet areas for the gutter vac, I have used it a few times on jobs where I have done the drive first then offered the gutter vac as an add on, ideal to do when you go back to resand. I got the unit from Varitech, its one they had to do trials with, half from omni half from numatic, it was used but in perfect condition and I got it at a good price, plus a little camera from Maplins that works well. I found using it awkward to start with and I am sure a bloke up a ladder would do a better job and a lot quicker, I think it will only come into its own on 3/4 storey buildings. I got a northern tools wand Ive never used maybe I would have been better trying that before getting the vac.

whats the camers system like from maplins? can you post a pic or some info? also what do you use as a gutter spike to loosen the sludge?
