Did a large job on carpet tiles using charlie pads, texatherm & dryfusion.
I was quite dissapointed with the rmp speed of the texatherm machine does anyone know what the speed is as compared to the dry fusion machine?

I'm not sure of the speed of the Texatherm machine but the DF is 280 and I think anything faster would be too fast.   In what way were you disappointed with the speed, what problems did you have that were caused by the speed?

hi nobby was cleaning low profile carpet tiles and was using dry fusion machine then took over from one of my guys with the texatherm it just seemed so slow in comparisment maybe im just used to the dry fusion
didnt seem as effective at the slow speed

Hi Bob,

That's interesting, I find lower speeds to be more effective on carpet (or at the very least as effective as higher speeds).  Maybe the fact that slower machine has no heater is the reason for the inferior results?  It took me a while to my head round the slower speed machine that I now use, I think it was a phsycological barrier for me.

I understand, but could be wrong, that the speed for cleaning  carpeting with this system must not exceed 170/180 rpm

Hi Therapist

Nearly right using super pads speed can be between 150 and 240 rpm
faster speed will still work but the pads would need to be changed more frequently due to centrifugal force emptying the pads quicker
